Shopping For A Cause With Subsidy Shades

So there’s no denying that we support small businesses when it comes to fashion. Subsidy Shades is just that. But in addition to supporting a mom-owned small biz, this company also supports a great cause. Subsidy Shades is another shop that we connected with via instagram which has been an amazing place to connect with lots of amazing shops as well as other mamas from all over the world. Subsidy Shades began in January of 2014 when Melissa, the mama behind the brand, decided that she would open up a shop and sell sunglasses to help fund the adoption of their second child. Since the shop opened in January, Melissa has not only been able to help fund her family’s adoption of their second child, but she has also been able to help many other families raise funds for adoption as well.

Ranging from $12-$24 per pair, not only are they fashionable and adorable, but they are super affordable too and they offer 100% UVA and UVB protection. We chose the Lovestruck Candy Apple (kids) and they are perfect!

The kids size fits LB just right and she loves them. The heart shape is so cute and I’m loving the red for the upcoming holiday season! My girls have a tendency to lose and/or break their sunglasses, so I don’t like to spend too much on them. Subsidy Shades are perfect because you’re not breaking the bank, plus you’re helping bring families together through adoption, so you should pick up a few pairs!

LB is wearing the holiday plaid headwrap and “just be you” red panda raglan from Little Big Dreamers.
