If you follow me on Instagram, then it’s pretty clear to see that my girls wear Freshly Picked moccs almost every single day. They love them. I love them. And I love the inspiring story behind how Susan Petersen started her business with $200 that she made from collecting scrap metal all summer long in 2009. She’s gone from designing and sewing moccs at her kitchen table to becoming a true entrepreneur whose moccs can be seen everywhere you turn; including on magazine covers being worn by the babes of today’s hottest celebrities.
We’ve been hooked since our very first pair because of the quality leather and the comfort that they offer to growing little feet. The team at Freshly Picked sent PR a pair of their Aruba moccs to review. PR chose the color because her favorite color is “bluish-green”. As soon as she saw the Aruba moccs online, she had to have them. I often have people ask me if the moccs are practical for older kids because they are so commonly seen on babies. I wanted to have the opportunity to review them based on being worn by a very active three (almost four) year old. I’ll admit that when I first purchased them for LB who was a little over 1 1/2 at the time, I wasn’t sure if they were something that I would put on PR because they don’t have a traditional hard sole. Once I saw how much LB wanted to wear hers and how durable the leather was, I knew that PR would love them too.
Our new pair of Aruba moccs arrived a couple of weeks ago and the color is so amazing. It is super vibrant and adds such a cute pop of color to any outfit. PR wants to wear her “bluish-green” moccs every day! Freshly Picked uses the best quality leather. It is thick and durable while being super soft inside against your child’s skin. PR has worn them everywhere. If you have an older child and are wondering whether moccs will work for them, trust me – they will! Both of my kids love how comfy they are. They can walk around in them all day long and they won’t rub or get blisters. They form to the natural shape of your child’s foot, so they never feel hard or restricting. The leather holds up to running and playing on any surface and easily wipes clean with a damp cloth if they ever get dirty.
If you have never tried Freshly Picked moccs, then I definitely recommend that you do. These will be the most comfortable and durable shoes that you can find for your child. I order them a tad big because the elastic holds them onto the foot and they have a little room to grow. If you are wondering about durability when worn by an active older child, I can tell you that LB received a frosted rose pair in February which has been her absolute favorite. She has probably worn them three to four times a week since then and they are still in great condition. You can see her little toe prints on the bottoms of the soles, but they are not worn out or damaged in any way.
Freshly Picked offers so many amazing colors and they range in size from 1-10. Be sure to print out the size chart online if you are buying for the first time so that you know you are getting the right fit. They also just added a new line of bags for the mamas which are just as cute as the moccs!
