Work, by definition is “activity involving mental or physical effort done in order to achieve a purpose or result.” I think that we can all agree that work rarely is easy, right? We all have different pictures of what our work life may look like, but the story is largely the same. We work to provide for our families and/or ourselves.

I am a property manager of an apartment community with about 500 apartments. That’s over 1,000 people to try to keep happy all of the time. It is not easy. Not at all. For the most part I do love my job, but there are days that completely suck. No matter what my day brings to me while I’m at work, every day I come home to the loves of my life. The three most important people in the world to me that I would not be able to live without. My family is my life and they will always come first to me. Putting them first has been my key to finding balance within it all. For me, that means that I am home to give my girls dinner and to be there when they go to bed at night. Balance also means that whatever stresses the day may have brought while I was at work stay behind at the office when I walk out that door.

So  every day, I go to work to achieve my purpose and then I come home to live my life. And I am lucky enough to be able to balance it all. With the help of these three. xoxoxoxoxoxo
